Description
POLY Go Clear utilizes the power of blue light (417nm), and is FDA cleared (OTC) to treat mild-to-moderate acne. Treatments include three minutes with the blue light followed by three minutes of red light, per skin position. The device can be used daily. Results may be seen in as early as 2-3 weeks; however, individual results may vary. POLY Go Clear for acne utilizes both Blue light at 417nm, and red light at 633nm to eliminate Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) from the skin, and to reduce the inflammation of the pimple.
P. acnes is a bacterium commonly found on the surface of the skin, typically with higher concentrations found within the pores of the skin, and hair follicles especially during periods of higher sebaceous gland activity such as during puberty or other times of increased hormonal activity. This can create an ideal environment the follicle to become clogged and infected, resulting in acne.
When blue light energy 417nm is applied, the light kills the bacteria by causing the waste byproducts of the bacteria to become toxic. This in turn kills the bacteria which cause acne. Red light is then used to reduce the inflammation and swelling of the infected pore or follicle. Recommended treatment is to apply POLY Go treatment for three minutes with the blue treatment head per selected treatment area. After the three minutes, the unit may be repositioned to another part of the skin for another three minutes. Repeat until all desired areas are treated. Following administration of blue light, apply red light for three minutes to the treatment areas to aid in skin repair. This device may be used daily. Note: The safety eyewear (included) should be worn during the administration of blue light to protect the eyes from potential damage.
